Patricia E. Chaloux, RN, MSN

is Director of the Center for Nursing Excellence at Baptist Health System in Knoxville, TN. Her professional nursing interests center on workforce development and retention initiatives, productivity, and nursing excellence dashboards. In 2005, she became Faculty Coordinator for Professional Nursing Leadership Issues in the Workforce at her alma mater The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She has worked extensively researching Type 2 Diabetes and economic models that effect related nursing care issues and outcomes.

Ms. Chaloux earned her Master of Science in Nursing Administration degree with highest honors, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors, both at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She began her career as a staff nurse on the post-surgical unit of Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. Ms. Chaloux has also served as Nurse Recruiter and Regional Liaison for Nursing Services at Baptist Hospital. She was raised in Birmingham, AL, and when not working with nursing issues, she enjoys traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and water skiing with her family.
